About T-Nyce.

Terry Opoku, more commonly known as T-NYCE, at the young and ambitious age of just twenty-two, is one of Toronto’s most diligent and crafty producers, and is finally being put on the table for the world to get to know. Born in Ghana and raised in both Chicago and the South Side Jane Strip area of Toronto, Terry became familiarized with an attribute that he established all on his own based on his environment around him—innovation. What do you do when what everyone else is doing, just isn’t enough? This is something Terry Opoku had to ask himself growing up around crime, violence and a society that never had any remorse for a young black man with dreams of a better life. He got his name T-NYCE, because he is an innovator. With his musical background and ability to play the drums, piano and bass guitar, raised in the church with four sisters (all of whom can sing), it isn’t a surprise that T-NYCE is an innovator of unique ideas, sounds, beats, melody and song. People have listened and proclaim that T is definitely NICE! Proudly compared to the maestro himself Timberland mixed with that edgy hip hop vibe of Mobb Deep’s Havoc, T-NYCE brings versatility to each beat he creates to suit the artist that lays it down to create something more than music—history in the making. T-NYCE has found an obsession for progression, executing every goal he’s made and raising the bar higher for himself and everyone else in the game. With his Mix tape I’M A F’N STAR 2 in the making; a compilation of songs by artists from all walks of life that he produced himself, Terry Opoku is making a prominent name for himself as a Producer in the Hip Hop game by also winning ATLANTA BEAT BATTLE Competition on September 2008, while gaining the respect and the Mentorship from Grammy Award winning Producers called J.U.S.T.I.C.E League and Mr. Colli Park production team in Atlanta, GA. He plans on pushing his innate musical gifts to the highest level and furthest boundaries imaginable as he has made a name for himself in Canada and South of the border.

A WORD FROM [T - N Y C E]

“As we all know, the music industry is built off of the superficial, where talent and innovation come 2nd to position and who u wit. So, instead of complaining, I figure ya gotta adapt like water flowing over the rocks, instead of crashing into them. So what I’ve put together in essence is a sound resume for you to listen and hear that I only make hits and nothing less”.

“I’M NOT HERE TO RAP - I’M HERE TO COORDINATE.”
